a message from sra. rebolone morrison: week of june 17th, 2018
I hope everyone is having a good weekend! With only 2 and half weeks left of school the countdown has really begun!
The next coule of weeks are going to be very busy with lots of different events happening each week. Please take note of the dates sent through Seesaw announcement Friday or by checking the "Reminders" tab on our blog.
A reminder that we are heading bowling on Monday after lunch. We will have a chance to play one game and then return to the school for a bit of chill time. If anyone wants to bring a board game to school to play once we return from bowling they are welcome to do so.
On Thursday we will be having Bon Jovi day. June 14th marks one year since my Grade 4/5 class Skyped with Jon Bon Jovi. The children are encouraged to wear Bon Jovi gear or to come dressed up as one of the band members. The children have been asking if we can sing and dance to "Living On A Prayer" and to send it to Bon Jovi. I will send a permission request home on Monday for you to fill out. Once I get those back we will use Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to send it out to Bon Jovi.
Please note there is now a final call for all library books to be returned to the school as Mrs. Rogstad has begun to do inventory for the year. I too am requesting for all home reading books to be sent back in to school by the end of the week so that Sra. Wahl and I can organize these for next year.
Finally, I would like to congratulate Cali for having 300+ signatures in her home reading recording sheets. To celebrate her accomplishment she will be joining me for lunch on Friday june 22nd. I have decided to also take the person who came second with 200 signatures. I will be notifying parents this week for permission. A job well done with home reading for everyone. Remember, the more we read, the more proficient and confident we become. Be sure to keep reading this summer!
That is all for this week.
