a message from sra. rebolone morrison: week of Nov. 19th, 2017
It has been a busy couple of weeks with our big Hispanic Heritage Night and preparing report cards, but I have emerged in one piece ;-) My apologies that the blog was not updated last weekend. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.
I am pleased to report that tomorrow our class should be able to finish filling up our marble jar, and with that a class reward is due. The children have requested a PJ and movie day, and so I have tentatively booked our reward day for Tuesday this week. You will find a note in your child's agenda tomorrow confirming Tuesday as our reward day.
Our class will be visiting the school book fair for a preview on Monday morning between 11:30-11:50. Once our class has had a chance to preview the items at the book fair, there are times when you are welcome to pop into the book fair to make a purchase. You can find those times listed here under the Reminders tab of our blog.
Thank you so much for supporting your children with home reading, and for your understanding as you await books from school to read with your child. Sra. Wahl and I have been in the process of printing, cutting, and putting the books together on a daily basis and we are just about there. It is important that we not only have books in different reading levels, but that we also have several copies of many books in the same level to ensure once a book is brought back there are others to choose from. It is a huge undertaking, and it takes a lot of time to put these books together in addition to doing everything else in the classroom.
Don't forget this is a short week for students. There is no school on Thursday afternoon and Friday for students as parent teacher interviews will run during those times. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the end of the week for Parent Teacher interviews and sharing your children's progress with you. I am incredibly proud of each and everyone in the class!
Have a wonderful week.
